The first video reminds me of a time at Fort Drum N.Y. We got a helicopter ride out to O.P. 35 where the army guys were lasing the targets on the range. The A-10's that we had loaded with several 500lbs came in on a run Poof! the smoke from the pylon carts and then the bombs float away from the racks right over our head!!! All the army guys could say was "Do not release before the river!! Do not release before the river!!" The river was about a quarter mile infront of us. We watched the bombs impact, felt the concussion, then heard the schrapnel flying thru the air. Bunch of loaders standing there with big stiff ones. Only then did we notice the army guys hunkered down in their pit. One of those days to remember. Fort Drum, the best kept secret for live loads during the 80's and early 90's!!!

Great videos Growler! Thanks for sharing. It's amazing the amount of flame comeing out the exhaust. I've never seen that in any other video.

The shrapnel video is pretty much proof positive to keep your head down. Once it's flying, it can go anywhere and it don't care who is in the way.
