Things have been a little slow here so I thought I would post a couple of pics from the frontlines. I wish I had more time because I have a ton of new stuff (including videos) but, with working 12/6’s I just don’t have time to do anything but work and take care of the family… maybe I can finish the updates to the Warthogpen soon… O’well enjoy.

that is a sweet pic, what type of bomb is that hanging on the inside RHT, LGB or GBU?

The bomb on the right (as you look at the picture) is a GBU-12, also known as an LGB (laser guided bomb). The one on the left is Mk-82 with a DSU-33 on the nose.

That picture was taken very recently. Like 3-5 weeks ago about. We didn't fly with that configuration for very long.

They say that the only two things certain in life are death and taxes. I prefer them in that order.

Coach, I didn't think we were the first squadron to use that config, but I say that was taken recently for a few reasons: The tail # (149) is one of our jets, and they didn't fly with face pods last time they were here, so it has to be from this deployment. When we got here we were flying with 2 LGBs, then a few weeks ago switched to 1 LGB and 1 MK82. It was then that the picture must have been taken, because for about a week now we have been flying with only one bomb.

JackB, I didn't mean to be challenging you, just saying that was the config we flew with. I know it has changed back and forth several times based on many reasons.

I didn't mean to sound like I thought you were challenging me or anything. I was just saying how I know when that was taken. I know what your talking about with the config changes. For the past week it's changed daily.
