I am in a rush to find certain information on the A-10 for an AE (Aerospace Engineering) project to reference therotical values of calculation against the real-world/actual values. Unfortunately some of this information I need is not available through Janes Defense Information sources, or from other reputable sources of information. Thus I came here hoping there is some one that has answer to these questions, or is willing to reference me to those whom would know this technical information. If no one here is able to answer these questions, can someone reference me to the USAF base that currently has A-10s. As I could call them directly and ask. I was able to find wing area, wing span, length, horizontal tail area, horizontal tail span, vertical tail area, vertical tail span, empty weight, max wieght, fuel wieght, maximum thrust, max-S/L cruise speed, stall speed, and absolute ceiling. However I was not able to find the following: 1.Distance from (C/4)tail to (C/4)wing. (Preferably in meters, this C/4 is called the center of gravity, of the tail, to the center of gravity of the wing.) 2.Max Range (km) 3.Max Endurance (hrs) 4.Take-off Distance over a 50-foot obstacle (m). (I believe the standard for the military is 35? If this is so, then I can also use that value) 5.Average wing chord length (m). Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Don Logans or Peter Smiths books on the A-10 are about as in depth as I think you'll get,Unless some of the Pilots and "TECH" guys want to help.Alot of that is -1 questions Goose They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
