The following is the pilot's comments on this encounter. Actually, we invited this intercept. We were getting flight following from BOS, they advised us of fighters. We told BOS to ask pilots if they wanted to practice an intercept. This is the result. Everyone had fun, completely safe. This is how it would look if you were intercepted. Nice vid.......and aileron rolls. I remember an apocryphal tale from the late 80's involving a late,great warbird operator and his son based out of Duxford. The story has it that they were fond of 'jumping' any passing Warthogs they saw from the twinbases here in the UK, they were usually flying the company Spitfire or P40 Kittyhawk. |
