Anyone have a pic of a Hog carrying an SUU-23/A(20mm GAU-4/A) -or any other- gunpod? I heard that the Hog can embark such pods, but have never seen pix before. Thanx much in advance. <img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b343/m21sniper/OnTheJobEnhanced.jpg" border=0> <b>"US Snipers...Providing surgical strikes since 1776"</b> |

The last gun pod I ever saw hung was on an A-7. I dont think I have ever even seen a pic of one on an A-10. "By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a peerage or Westminster Abbey !" Nelson the Immortal Memory |

I never seen one on an A-10 myself. I am sure you could if you felt the need however that would be like bringing a knife to a gunfight. LOL Fender "Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it." George Bernard Shaw |

I only have seen a 30mm Gun Pod on the STRIKE EGALE mock-up when it came into SCOTT AFB in 1982,cammo,fast back tanks, bombs plus pod all loaded. Hey 30MM, have JR go down to the T/A shack if its still the same, the rule was anything Odd or interesting they took a picture and framed it on the Wall. They Have a Picture of the A-10B coming thru SCOTT on its way to EDWARDS AFB. The same year We had the First "Cammo FRED" and the 747 with the ENTERPRISE SHUTTLE for the Open house. Had to be 1983. Both the Blue Angles and the Thunderbirds were there along with McDonaldDougus had their HORNET show bird Plus the F-15E on display. Snipe I found this for you http://www.montysminiguns.com/RealityPage.htm Goose I know now for a FACT that Truth is Stranger than Fiction and IT CAN ALWAYS BE WORST! |

Makes the 1/3rd A-10 possible for some aircraft builder. It had to been 25+ years now but in Popular Mech. they had 1/3 rd F4-U Corsair,P-51, and a ZERO someone had designed and was selling the Blue prints etc.... Plus a kit. My Granfather wanted the F-4U BBBBBBBBBBAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDD!!!! It was $15,000 but Grandma wouldnt let him buy it. But a A-10 1/3RD scale with one of those Mini Guns MAN THAT'LL BE JUST TOO DAMN GREAT! gOOSE I know now for a FACT that Truth is Stranger than Fiction and IT CAN ALWAYS BE WORST! |
