Can someone tell me the Demsions of the Ladder Door?

To include the angle and the over hang of the lip?
The Scrapbook place here in town said they can take a picture, without the Neg and blow-it up to any size without loosing the details.
I have One GREAT picture of my old ladder Door art, but its from a distance and of the whole front end.
If I blow-up the image on my computer, it comes out grainy, now I wish I had my 35mm back with that Macro lense so I could make a Negitive of it.
I want to take the Door Art and have it en-larged to the actual size and then place it on a Wooden cut out then paint it in the grey then apply the picture on it.
Make a "Door copy"

If that works, it might be a good way of saving the art.
I'm going to for sure take the frontal view of 166 loaded during the Gulf and have them make it a wide image so the detail really shows up.
It'll look GREAT onthe Shed wall with the Wing Decal(aircraft size) Carl gave me that I applied to some Stainless steel and sealed. It looks like it would if it was taken off the backbone on the Jet.
I want the Vanguard and TAC patches made into the same scale so I'll have a grouping.I already have the "tail flash" ready, just need CJ to cut out the stencil.

Its either that or make a smaller version of the Vertical Stab, with Flashing, Tail code and Tail number like they have in some of these collector magazines of P-51 Cowlings nose art.

I got the Damn wall space might as well FILL IT UP!

<img src="http://www.warthogpen.com/bs/door.jpg" border=0>

..and if no one provides you the "lip" size I can get that tonight when I go to work. Sounds like a great project and I will expect pictures when you get the "door" finished.

LOL, when I saw this thread subject I though, "OOH! I made a pic of that at Osan for Dice, now where the hell is it?" But looks like he kept it.
The dimensions on that image are not 100%, I think I may have rounded one or two of those numbers off by mabye a 1/4". Also, those numbers do not count the "lip" of the door, they are of the paintable surface. I eyeballed the angle, roller and magnet bolts. If you want a 100% accurate duplicate, use Dice's or someone elses measurements. I would measure it for you when I go in, but I'm starting 11 days of leave today, and won't be back at work until the 29th. And I too look foward to seeing pictures of your finished product.

Thanks for the Picture Dice and you too Jack.

I dont know how it'll turn out,but What the Hell?
It'll all depend if they can get a Good ,clear picture of the door.

I can just <img src=newicons/anim_furious.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_furious.gif border=0 align=middle>the Ex some days!

I dont know How detailed I'll get with the "Roller, bumper etc.....
I still think I'll try the Vertical Stab this winter, we're trying to get started with the Harvest right now, If it ever Stops Raining!
I'll make sure to get pictures!

Let me know bro, I can get the door for just 30 bucks with nothing on it and you can put your own image on it.

Dad said we should use MDF so it will take paint plus the image should be easier to apply on to it.

If I knew Who that Artist was in Alexandria La who painted it and all those others I'm sure he'd have a Picture, plus the 30+ more he did back then.

Goose, do you have what you need or do you need me to get more measurements? I'm in F-16 FAM all week but can get the measurements before I go to class.

Jackb, of course I keep your drawing, you have always been a big supported of my door art quest.
