Uses the callsign "Raven"? There is a flight of 2 tagged up on the radar display as Raven1. Just curious where our visitors came from. There are no A-10's based in Colorado.

I think the 175FG of the MD ANG out of Baltimore have used "RAVEN" before, but hopefully someone can verify that...

These are the 3 units this website shows using Raven, but it would make sense for the MD Hog unit to use it as well.

RAVEN LK C-130 314th AW, Little Rock AFB, AR
RAVEN SJ KC-10 4th Wing, Seymour-Johnson AFB, NC
RAVEN NH EA-6B VAQ-135, NAS Whidbey Island, WA

We used it to set up callsigns in FS2004 for the military AI ;)

The data block on the display clearly ID'd it as a flight of 2 A-10's. The Army NG unit from Buckley uses Raven with it's Blackhawks, and that's not on the list.

I think a lot of units use the Raven callsign because it's one of those that dates back to WW-Nam CAS mission....like Misty.

The 175 WG does use Raven. They used to use Colt, but since 1996, its been Raven. Care to guess why?

Spec Ops C-130 just landed here. Opus86. It's not on the list linked above, but having worked in my chosen field for the amount of time I have, I can tell.

Im new to this site, but I am old as well. I was a Chief on the A-10a
many years ago. My main duty station was at Myrtle Beach AFB untill
1985. It was the 354TFW, I was a member of the 354AGS.
The unit was the 355AMU Fighting Falcons. Some of the hogs I worked on made an appearance during Desert Storm. I know most of you have more recent experience, but I was hoping some of my time served as
an official Master Of The Hog would be helpful.
