Can you recall TV or big screen movies you have seen that featured awesome air combat scenes? Bonus points for A-10's.

I have to start thinking about shaping up the action sequences of my mini movie now, and then I realized I seriously don't know anything about filming action. I need to steal the art of action sequencing from the great masters.

So far known to me: Macross opening sequence, The Huey attack in Apocalypse Now! and ofcourse Top Gun.

There is a short flick by the name \"Follow You Home\" if I recall the director was this old guy DICEMAN I am not sure (Tee Hee) but any way it kicked ash. :D

Hmm... challanging search, \"Follow You Home\" only gets me a Nickleback song on google and a movie called \"Follow ME home\" on imdb.com...

If it's the kind of airplane movie where bullets, shreds of aircraft, blood, guts and radiator fluids get blown all over the screen I got to see it.

Goob is yanking your chain... he's talking about a music video I made (to the Nickleback tune) a while back. You can find this video and others (both ones I've make and ones from others) at the two links below.

Dice is just being modest it is a little known fact that yes he did walk the red carpet in his stunning Digital Tiger strip Cammo tux personally. I think he should have gone old school and worn the Desert storm cookie print, but you know these Hollywood movers and shakers like to flash . Joan Rivers was quoted saying The Diceman's apperance made Leonardo DiCaprio look like a common street hobo anyway he rubbed elbows with all the Hollywood power players like Scorsese and Spielberg most likely instructing them on how its done. They did seem to me to be kissing his ring alot. Now I was present its premiere by the way the directors cut is fantastic and having read all the reveiws on this amazing piece of film and having viewed it many many times afterwards I find myself being appalled that he was shunned by the Academy as he was.

Your right Goob, they Just wont give a \"CrewDawg A Break\" its just their way of keeping us down\"
I prefer \"Hells Bells\" but I never could get my copy of \"Highway to Hell\" to work but the footage was \"Great!\"

Their was another movie that had a clip of A-10'S IN IT BUT ITS NOT \"SPOKEN HERE\" Due to its image of the A-10 as always \"F-ING UP\"

Then theirs that Movie about them doing that investigation on giving that Female pilot the CMH showing the Hogs using \"napalm\" during Desert Storm.

So no , only Dice's movies are worth looking at.

Now let's see...

HIGHWAY TO HELL
The Road Trip to Hell!

\"A sexy homicidal hitchhicker, calling herself Lucinda, commits acts of gory mayhem against unsuspecting people who pick her up off the road to help her out.\"

Wrong one I think...

HIGHWAY TO HELL (2)
She was all he had left, between San Quentin and Death Row.

\"Escaped mass murderer goes on a rampage and is hunted by the cop who sent him up the first time.\"

I see no aircraft yet...

HIGHWAY TO HELL (3)
The cops on this road don't take you to jail... They take you to HELL.

\"An eloping bride is taken into Hell, and her fiancee must pursue.\"

Alright, I need more specific information about \"Highway to hell\" I think.

HELL'S BELLS

\"Satan and the demons gather for a wild party. After the demons play music, Satan has them \"milk\" burning flames out of a dragon cow and he drinks them...\"

I fear I need more specific information about this one too:/ sorry.

Pherhaps I need to go with the Star Wars Idea:

Hog Wars I: The Phantom and the Hog
Hog Wars II: Attack of the Migs
Hog Wars III: Revenge of the SAMs
Hog Wars IV: A New Hog
Hog Wars V: The SAMs strike back
Hog Wars VI: Return of the Hog

I never saw the name \"Horatio\" used for an A-10 anywhere for as far as I can remember, where did this name come from?

I've found some A-10 movie scenes in the game Command and Conquer (1995). The A-10 is quite prominent in the game, it's frequently used to provide ground support (with napalm bombs... which I never quite got) and featured in the cutscenes. You get to see one formation of 3 A-10's bomb the shite out of a Nod base, and in one mission you are briefed by a female A-10 pilot.

The A-10 also features in Command and Conquer: Generals. You can order a wing of 1 to 3 as a special ability, to attack a specified piece of ground. Anything that's on it will get demolished no matter what it is. (Except for a command center or nuclear silo due to gameplay balancing issues.).

Diceman's movies unfortunately don't work in my browser. I seriously have to see those, they will give me a start to begin on action sequences.

I'll have to skip on featuring Horatio in my movie I fear, since animating any kind of complex living being is two steps above my level of digital animation skills. To be honest, I don't know yet how to fill my A-10's cockpit in the movie. I hope I can pull it off with a ragdoll or statue if the camera doesn't come too close.

I’m going to let the hair grow for another year or so and see where it goes. I’m a child of the 70s, love hard rock music, and have pulled my time in the military so, I think I have (earned) the right to look the way I want now. I have lost weight but, that comes from moving from an office job to working for a living.

The hat is one of my most prized items. It was given to me by the great BB King during a concert in 1994 at Sheppard AFB TX. He said he would give his hat to anyone who knew the story of how his guitar (Lucile) got its name. I knew the story, told it on stage, and received his hat. I only ware it to concerts and special occasions.

WarthogHogger, the tie is one of three I have that were given out during the early days of the A-10. They are all over 20+ years old and are another one of my prized items.
