I was looking at our local paper the other day and they had astory about how the USAF now is taking \"Jeeps\" after their time in Training (OJT) school for lack of a better term . This Guy had done his 1 year training on F-16's and instead of assigning him to a Active Duty Wing they assigned him to the Vermont ANG so he could get more Hands on with the \"Guard\" training him using their \"Years of Knowledge\" that they have in the Reserves and Guard. They mentioned that Utah and SC have similar training going on. Anyone seen this? Goose |

It happens, just not very often. I know of one guy that was at New Orleans, and two are currently flying with Whiteman. |

Actually it is going to start happening more to take advantage of the Guards experience level. I dont remember where, but I think it was in the magazine On Guard, not sure but it was an article about the program and its future uses in other units. I know that we do our own hot training for our guys when they are done doing there basic tech schools. |
