Just to clarify Dutchy, Those jets aren't leaving for Moody in those pictures. That was just some normal day-day flying here, the comment about BRAC is just additional info. We haven't sent any jets out in a while, and we won't be losing any more jets for about 4-6 weeks.

Just another chapter in the Hog saga. I do hate to lose Eielson because of the door, we all know what will happen to the art as soon as they get to Moody and under ACC.

BTW this is not phony info because it never said \"The aircraft pictured are headed to Moody\" it only infered it...mis-information..something the AF is VERY good at.

Well, it is correct, just kind of misleading. If you do not know the background info, Dice used the best word- it \"infers\" that that they are going to Moody right then and there. In reality, they (and by they I mean Eielsons Hogs, not 240, 172, 979 and 259 specifically) are going to Moody, just not for a few more months.

I was reluctant to post this info here, out of fear it might catch the wrong persons attention but I have some good news. I got an email a few weeks ago from a friend fo mien who is a HOT training instructor at DM. He said he saw my old jet, 238. It is in the Bulldogs and he said it still had the door art on it. 238 left here back in September last year, so were going on at least 7 months she's managed to retain the door art at an ACC base.[banana] [bounce]

Thanks nice to hear jack but, you known the first time the \"wrong\" person sees it, away it goes.

I haven't been through all my data but, it looks like 80-0272's door may be the oldest (at least 16 years) still on an active jet. 80-0178 is a close second but I haven't been able to verify it's date yet. I'm going to write Pope's (and mabe the AF) PA office and see if that door can't be \"saved\" in some way.

I'm confused Dice.
80-0178 is an Eielson jet, Junkyard Hawg.
Do you mean 189 at Pope - Runnin with the Devil?

Jack, I mean 272's door is the oldest in the whole AF (A-10 wise) including the Guard/Researve, it's at least 16 years old and I have photos to prove it. :D

I get what you're saying about 272. But you also said 178 is a close second and you are going to contact Pope about it.
Did you mean to say you are going to contact Pope but incorrectly mentioned 178, or did you correctly refer to 178 but incorrectly mentioned Pope?
Because you can call Pope all day long about 80-0178 and it won't do you any good. 80-0178 is at Eielson.

I see what you mean Jack, yes I meant contacting Pope about 272 only.
