Yeap, aircraft came in Monday for a photo shoot and show and tell. The community is getting geared up for their arrival.

JB, what are you doing keeping up with the local news here? How's the new job going?

I will still claim the hottest flight line in the AF is Nellis (excluding the sandbox). Imagine four Hawgs, between three rows on APU \"alert\" (think of that EGT) and Strike Eagles cranking two rows down to one side, and then KC-135s or JSTARS and AWCS cranking on your other side. All exhaust pointing towards the 3 A-10s rows....in June/July in the high dessert.

Either way...a little luck and I will be at Moody in a few years...

Raven, I agree but, I'll be the one to say it, that's a different kind of heat...nothing like a south GA summer. [angry]

I think DM is hotter. I have been stationed at both. Although I did spend a day stuck in an inatake changing a stand-by gen. I think it got up to 140* in there, i was cooked.

If its above 70F on the line its HOT!

Tiger Thrust 86 when Col Profitt was still Wing C/C (BG) had us in MOPP 4 in
95F+ HEAT in July with 98% Humidity trying to prove a point.
\"Rocky\" (Dunning) can testify to that F-ing 7 days of HELL.
OA and the base inspectors (NON-Maintance ) from wing didn't have to wear Chemical gear, would screw with you by standing around the \"John\" and wait until your inside and throw a \"Smoke Bomb\" at it so you got \"Smoked out\" and then \"Kill you\" Laughing at you while they did it usually with pants down.
One of the \"REST TENTS\" between the ICT's they threw one of those \"Flash Can's\" next too the tent and half of those Folks had problems seeing or their ears ringing or Both and sent back to the REC-Center for the rest of the day and some for the rest of the week. Cutting us down 2 ICT spots we had to pick up the slack with the other 6.
Their was so much [mad] [angry] [cuss] [argue] that \"More than one Crewdawg\" couldn't be trusted with a Hammer \"

That got so bad the Pilots started Complaining about how the \"Maintance Troops\" were being Kept in MOPP4 too long\"and finally after 4 days they kept us out of MOPP4 for most of the day only about 2 hours total instead of the 6-8 hours the days before.

After that , the Whole Wing if Tiger Thrust was going on, everyone wore Chem gear, including the inspectors and needless to say we never wore it in the HEAT again.
I lost 25lbs during that week, and they did the \"Weigh -in \" right after

:P
But the \"Sand Box\" it was \"Hot\" but it was Dry, and I only remember wearing the mask one time during the day, mostly at Night during the \"SCUD\" attacks\" Wearing the Chem suits for the 1st 10 days got Old,(And SMELLY\") then they went to the

\"KFIA MOPP4\" rule
\"Mask, Gloves and Poncho\" if you had one, that was better.

So What does Goose DO AFTER HE LEAVES THE USAF? Gets a Job where you wear \"FULL ASEPTIC GOWNING\" for 8-12 hours a day (Head Gear, Goggles, mask, Full body suit, boots, gloves)in a 75F to 80F with 60-65% humidity enclosed area.

Now You know I'm not playing with a \"Full Deck\" but $23.00 an hour made it easier. [lol] [lol] [lol] [lol]
