I was killing time in the BX today and one of the gun magazines had a blurb on the cover about the A-10C. Nothing amazing about the article, but no errors I noticed. It had a few pictures in it too, including one I recognized from this forum. It was a computer drawing of a green camo A-10 w/ teeth and a tan tank exploding behind it, the turret blown off the bottom half. I know for sure it had originally been posted by a member on this forum, but I don't remember who. I took a picture of the pag with my camera phone, but I won't have internet at home to hook it up to to and upload for posting here until the weekend. |

Yeah, some guy was looking for tech advice on reality, perspective, etc. I thi nk I saw the pic show up on a t-shirt, too. Edit: Found it, at CafePress. Page 8 of the A-10 listings. Doesn't say who the artist is. http://www.cafepress.com/buy/A-10/-/pv_ ... pt_/c_667/ |

I believe the original artist (or at least the person who was looking for input) was \"Fritzthefox\" or something like that. Not sure if that's his cafepress page or not. |

Actually, yeah. the A-10 article as nothing impressive, and that specific gun magazine doesn't do anything for me. I'm not impressed buy the latest and greatest $2,000 tacticool AR. I'm not a mall ninja. |

Yes I know, lol. I do feel like a millionaire here though... There's a $.99 menu at the fast food places! And the movie theatre costs less than $9! |

Ha, funny story about that illo. It was, indeed, a portion of an illustration I posted here a while back for feedback. The finished art can be found on my website (nice new high-res picture has been added since many of you were there last, BTW. You can check it out at http://www.boomandzoomgraphics.com/plink.html) I provided a copy of the A-10 itself (it's digital art, so the plane was easy to separate from the rest of the art) to the Air Force Link website, marked for non-commercial use, and it has since been pilfered by various people on the web (most of them cafepress store owners), despite a clearly posted copyright notice. Since most stuff on the Air Force Link site is public domain, I guess a lot of people assumed they can do whatever they liked with it. Anyway, this particular magazine editor did, and a friend of mine brought it to my attention. I gave the editor a call and he sent me a check, so we're all happy. Easiest sale I ever made That piece of art has really had some legs. I slapped a new paint on it and used it to make some art for the boys in Battlecreek to put on their shirts (who sent me some neat goodies in exchange. I have endless fun handing my friends 30mm shell casings and watching them hastily hand them back as soon as they read the words \"Depleted Uranium\" on the side LOL. In related news, in about a week I will have a new, improved Warthog shirt ready on my site. In fact, I'll have a whole new store, with a different company (I found a place that makes nicer t-shirts, at a better price, so I'm relocating, and sprucing up a lot of the older art while I'm at it), so don't buy anything in my shop until you see the new \"Printfection\" logo at the top of the store. |

I've never seen \"Depleted Uranium\" on the side of any shell casings...that would be a real hit at a Hog party. Coach |
