Special thanks for immediate posting of this very important news source, Coach! Damn, but this news was released just after my daily search routines (related to German time). After reading your helpful post, at least I immediately updated my Warthog News. Remaining question: Is A-10 80-0226 currently assigned either to the 74th FS or to the 75th FS? |

If it has teeth on it, it belongs to one of those squadrons. Coach |

Wasn't 'Commie Corner' at Bentwaters? Good article, the 75th EFS pilot looks like he made the right career decision in the end. |

O.K., Coach! By first viewing of that single picture I simply overlooked that A-10 80-0226 wears blue air intake covers with the partial vissible inscription [... Flying Tigers ...] And so, this Hog should be really assigned to the 74th FS. As well known, the originally fighter package of the currently deployed 75th EFS consists of aircraft from both the 75th and 74th FS. Four more A-10s (including 79-0135 and 80-0272, both from the 74th FS) were deployed as replacements due to the partial A-10 groundings. And 80-0140 and 80-0149 already relocated to Spangdahlem AB, Germany, for inspections and probably also for repairs. It could be possible that some more of the originally 75th EFS Hogs will relocate to Spang due to the same issues. For further details, tomorrow via PM I will contact jackb, who is currently the well-known number one Hog source at Bagram AB. |

Yes, at the eastern end of the base, where the fence came closest to the runway not far north from the little church that sits right outside the base. Cheers! M2 |

Cheers M2, thought I'd heard it called that. I was at Bentwaters a few weeks back. |

We had the \"Red Brigade \" (Commies) in Japan that use to sit at the EOR on the South end of the runway taking pictures ALL the time. The weekends it was the \"Photo Hot Spot\" around they'd even get ladders and hang over the Fence. Some \"Wolf Pack\" Lawn darts came in and gave them a \"Real Teaser \" one weekend went to the very end, did the \"Show time Checks\" taking about 15mins at idle sitting there. They had to be over 100 people out there taking pictures and a dozen on ladders. Well they gave them a \"Show\" on \"How the AB Looks on Take-off\" They Blew them-off those ladders and nothing but JN's and Papers Every Where being blown away.
That was one of the \"Best Viper Moment \" I ever saw. Goose |
