Just out of total curiosity and for no particular reason...

Anybody know anything about 80-0217? Pic searching on Airliners.net shows two pics but I can't make out the tail...and it looked to at least once be a demo team bird.

Nothing blog worthy...just curious. If there ever were a jet I'd want to work I think it would be cool to work this one.

WK, you are correct 217 is at Osan (or was in 2005), there is one photo of it in my A-10, Osan pictures and one under the door art images.

And its first unit was the 92nd TFS 'Skulls', part of the 81st TFW at Bentwaters.

Wow, no kidding! There's a chance I may have seen her over my house in rural Indiana about 30 miles north of GUS when I was in high school. Seeing A-10s from Grissom fly over the fields very low (right over my head...waving at the pilots and them waving back) was actually an important reason in my decision to join the USAF after school. The circle may be complete! :)
