OK, "real" Hog drivers and maintainers, what gives? 30MM Jr has had three groups of Hogs come through his AOR (23rd TFW, MI ANG and CT ANG)and no one has been willing to swap/share unit patches. Not good to upset a tanker unit! Peace through Superior Firepower |

30mm, patches used to be plentyfull (S?) and you could trade all day but with the buget cut-back they are few and far between, I'm sorry to say. When you do trade it has to be a "good" patch for a "good" patch and, don't take this wrong but,...an A-10 patch patch for trash haule....I mean flying gas station patch is not what most think is a good trade! Ugly but well hung! |

Ok, Dice, I can comiserate with the first observation. But with the second one, if you're suckin' fumes... Besides, even the gas-haulers look down on the trash haulers! But, I'll forward your words of wisdom on to Jr. Guess he should've gotten some 151st STL MO ANG patches "To Go"! Hehe sorry just that "my aiframe is better than your airframe" thing that's been happening since the day I came in the AF. We fighter/attack people can't tell the difference between aircraft with more than two engine...trash hauler, gas hauler...same thing! just a joke! Ugly but well hung! |

Ive always looked at it as this. We all have a favorite NFL team. 1 we love and the other we loathe, and through time we enjoy the entertainment that they bring to our lives. But We respect the game and what they bring to the table. Fighter aviation is the same. Their are some airframes we love and others we loathe. But what is it we really value? Their missions or their Performance. In the end, I think they all together as a collective whole bring great satisfaction for their performance and what they have done for us. If our Command and Control people can best utilise us and we as operators and maintainers can work together as a coheasive warfighting platform. Then we are all a Success. Cant win the War without the Differnt families in the Village. "<---Jesus Powers My Hotrod---<<<" "My purpose in life does not include a hankering to charm society." |

I dunno Mudd.......Always will loathe the Denver Bronco's and F-18E/F. Not a whole lot of respect for either of them, but to there is a fine line between love and hate, and at the end of the day we are all the "good guys" Just an armchair observation;) If your not having fun, your not doing it right! |
