I wish to aquire a 30mm A-10 round.

The non DU version will do fine :)

I don't know any A-10 pilots or anyone in the USAF.

Can anyone help me find one?

Perhaps ebay?

Thx

I think your in a rather hopeless situation. It would be very foolish to send one of these to someone on the internet without knowing them personally in this current world.

Even worse if someone were to acquire a functioning round. One hell of a terrorism weapon.

Not that you would be able to get a hold of a DU or HEI round anyway. They are accountable and closely controlled. If you see a bullet somewhere, it's going to be a TP round (maybe) that's already seen EOD or an expended shell with a fake aluminum round in it.

Maybe we could arrange an airmail delivery of about 1150 of them, direct to you.

A spent round with a fake bullet is fine.

I've got a colletion of bullets at my office.

3 x 7.62mm (Spent - real bullets though)
1 x .50 Caliber (Spent - fake bullet)

I need a 30mm A-10 spent round to complete my desk collection :)

I don't see an A-10 round in your collection :)

But your collection is slightly larger than mine.

Not to be mean or disrespectful. But unless you have gunplumbed, boogerhooked, pointyheaded, or even by lowest of standards flown an A-10 you really haven't earned one. Besides the only "brass" to own doesn't have PGU 15 on it. Was quite upset that the girl in MPF had a 30 mike on her desk. Doubt she has ever had gun grease in her armpits before.

Without weapons its just another airliner

Capt. Thomas, an A-10 pilot, sent me the empty shell after I wrote a letter to "Any A-10 pilot" during the first Gulf War. A friend of mine found the bullet at a gun show a couple years ago. I see the empty shells on eBay once in a while.

Found one for sale.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... me=rvi:1:3

Looks like the PGU-15.

Current bid at time of writing was $26 (non including shipping).

Too expensive for me :(

There's another one for sale but it doesn't look right:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... me=rvi:1:2

Looks fake.

I have a TP round.

Overkill??? I'd kill a fly with a howitzer if I had one.

$41 now.

1 hour to go.

That's probably more than a brank spanking new one.

TP rounds are cheap. DU and HEI, however, I would not consider cheap.

I think the HVAPDU round cost $17 dollars each under the original contract. The DoD or whoever fired the guy that negotiated the contract, saw it on 60 minutes many years ago.
