I have this idea of taking the A-10 and giving it the engine hum of a TIE fighter.
It mirrors the Stukah where they incorporated the tell-tale dive bomb noise to frighten whomever they were pounding.

I believe that A-10, juxtaposed with the eerie whine of the TIE fighter, would paralyse a good number of our future adversaries.

Actually, you can't hear a Hog on a gun run until it's outbound.

Seen(heard) this with my own eyes/ears.

I'll add this: the sound can be turned on/off.

I have Hogs flying over me all the time to go to Pomona in AC. They have a turbofan whine to them.

Indeed they do, but in combat, you are dead before you ever hear it.
