Did the Airforce ever tinker with the SUU-16, or SUU-23 20mm Cannon Pods to create a "Super Strafer" from the A-10, or even better the 30mm Cannon Pods used on the defunct A-16? Can you imangine being on the "Highway of Death" during DESERT STORM and seeing a few equiped A-10's tearing it up! Why you could fit 10 of them pods for quite a show. How much ammo does a SUU-16 carry any way? What ever it is x10 plus the Avenger =alot! |
