Anyone know what the total number of A10 sorties flown was during OIF. The percentage of overall tactical sorties has to be pretty high for the Hog community. By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson |

Hey Hawg do you have any gouge on the "Bombat" sorties? I hear they were the workhorse for the fleet in OIF. Not to hijack the thread, you can answer an another if you like. |

Chad I dont. But I would be curious to know that also because to my knowledge my old F14 Buno 159618, is now an F14B Bombcat or whatever designation thay call reworked F14A's. I know it was dropping bombs in Afghanistan late last year. But that is another question I had. By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson |

The sortie totals are still close-hold... but I do have numbers on MC rates: The Hawg had the highest MC rate amongst fighters (minus the 12 stinkbugs in theater). Beat all others by an average of 2 and a quarter points. Not too shabby... especially considering the hours flown by the A-10 and the hours on the airframes. Pil Sung!! |
