I AM IN THE PROCESS OF TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE A-10 SQUADRON (THE FLYING TIGERS). THEY WERE STATIONED HERE AT ENGLAND AIR FORCE BASE UNTIL IT CLOSED.THE AIRCRAFT NOSE ART WAS PAINTED WITH THE TIGER TEETH. I KINDA THOUGHT THEY WERE DISPERSEDNAFTER THE CLOSING OF THE BASE. IF ANYONE CAN SHED SOME LIGHT ON THE SUBJECT, I'D REALLY APPRECIATE IT. THANKS BUBBAJ1964 |

The 23 is now 23 Fighter Group with the 74 and 75 Fighter Squadrons, both flying the A-10. The 76 is now the 76 Space Control Squadron, here at Peterson AFB, CO. They are part of Space Command. Gary L. Coots |
