You can order up to ten books from them, and the historians office as well (there is a link on that same URL list above). If you are lucky enough to have a history office where you are stationed you can also get books from them as well, subject to availability, stock, etc. But the easiest way is to just order them on line.

Thanks for the link, I downloaded and printed a copy, as well as ordered one. So far it has been an excellent read...

Not to get fixated here, but this is really an excellent book and anyone that needs help getting the softcopy feel free to email me and I will send it to you. It is huge, 3MB and over 300 pages, but the anecdotes are first rate. Probably one of the best accounts of A-10s in battle since Warthog: Flying the A-10 in the Gulf War by Bill Smallwood.

Got my hardcopy of this today, took about two weeks to get, well worth the wait. As I said, I downloaded and printed a copy out at work, but actual book is a lot better as it is smaller and the pics are in color. Seriously, if you consider yourself a hawg fan and haven't ordered this book, you don't know what you are missing!

I would suspect so, but you'll have to pay if you are not a DoD employee. I will post the ROE when I get to work...

Here ya go...

Ordering Publications

Free publications to DOD personnel: AU Press publications (up to 10 titles) are available free of charge to US Department of Defense personnel and organizations and to employees of other federal government agencies for use in performance of their official duties. DOD offices must use standardized official addresses (ALL CAPS and USPS approved abbreviations). Make sure you use this address format when ordering to avoid delays in receiving your requested publications. Individuals qualifying for free publications must place orders from .mil or .gov domain computers. Direct any questions to our customer service desk at DSN 493-2773, comcl (334) 953-2773. If you are assigned to a duty station where you do not have access to a PC on a .mil or .gov domain, contact our customer service desk.

Purchasing publications: Others may purchase publications directly from AU Press. To purchase publications, call (334) 953-6281; fax orders to (334) 953-4941. All orders must be prepaid by check, money order, or MasterCard, Visa or Discover cards. Make check or money order payable to the Superintendent of Documents. Do not send cash. Our Web site is not secure; do not submit credit card information electronically. Discounts are available on bulk purchases (100 copies or more) and to booksellers.

Shipping: Delivery time varies from three to four weeks within the United States and six to eight weeks for overseas APO and FPO addresses. Books are normally shipped fourth class through the US Postal Service (USPS). Since some orders may be sent by other methods you must provide a valid street address since carriers other than the USPS do not deliver to post office boxes.

Electronic files: For your convenience, many AU Press titles are available for downloading from our Web site in PDF format (unless otherwise indicated). A link to downloadable titles is included in the abstract of each title and in the indexes of available publications. Return to our home page to find these links.

When ordering use catalog reference numbers (e.g., B-5, R-10, P-15, T-1). Send your requests to:

AIR UNIVERSITY PRESS
AUL/LP
131 WEST SHUMACHER AVE
MAXWELL AFB AL 36112-6615

Some boner (and no, I am not talking about a B-1 type) is selling the book on CD off eBay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... egory=1113

Basically he downloaded the book, burned it to CD, and is selling it for a starting bid of $8.99. There has to be some copyright infringement going on here, even though you can download it for free there is a difference when you try to sell it. I think the seller's excuse is that it is a "public domain US Government publication," but as far as I am concerned he is ripping off some of our A-10 brethren. Someone needs to go in and straf this guy!

Cheers! M2
