I worked on the A-10 for 23 years and I cannot ever re-call an A-10 crashing so shortly after takeoff.

Capt. Jon Scheer "Cosmo" was an ENJJPT 97-02 graduate. I had the honor of participating the ENJJPT course with Cosmo. He was a great guy, a true friend, a great class-mate, and he will truly be missed.

We knew there was a risk! This one is for you:

"One More Roll", by CMDR Jerry Coffee

We toast our hearty comrades
Who have fallen from the skies
And were gently caught by God's own hand
To be with Him on high.
To dwell among the soaring clouds
They've known so well before
From victory roll to tail chase
At heaven's very door.

As we fly among them there
We're sure to hear their plea,
To take care my friend, check your six,
And do one more roll just for me.

I do one more roll for you on my next sortie. Rest in peace, my friend.

Capt. John Kristensen "STI"
726 SQN, Air Base Aalborg
Royal Danish Air Force

You know the road is long and hard
With pitfalls in the way.
And for some the burden is heavy and long
And high is the price they paid.

But for all those we've lost
And for all those we've won
We'll remember them long
We'll remember out past our Sun.

Steve

I think I speak for everyone on this forum when I give you and the rest of Jonathan’s family our most sincere condolences for your loss. He was a true hero, a brother-in-arms and a man we all had the deepest respect for...he was an A-10 pilot. We celebrate his life, but mourn his passing.

Godspeed, Cosmo!

Steve,

My condolence's also. My parents are very close with Jonathans parents. His father married my wife and I this August and I also went hunting with his Dad this last November.

This job has it's dangers and he took them head on. God Bless him and all of them.
