Gday everyone, We had a very special day in Australia yesterday - the most 'P51 Mustangs' flying together in 50 Years!!!!!!!!!!!! We had seven P51s from all over Australia come down to Tyabb (now called Mornington Peninsula Airport 50 mins Sth of Melbourne in Victoria). Also, the only flying 'Spifire' in Australia which flew down from New South Wales & one of only two (Australian built, DC3 engined) 'Boomerangs' which also flew. Australia's second jet, the 'Vampire' made an appearance as did the terrific 'Cessna Dragonfly'. p.s I had to mention the extremely high detailed $185(AUS)A10 (1/48 scale model - 40cm long). Check out www.aviation-center.com.au Although I was EXTREMELY close to buying it, I thought I'd wait for another day - especially as they have 5 other versions...I want the one with the Sharks teeth! USAF 23 WG -75FS 'Sharks' Town of Hope Mills USAF 917 TFW 'Peanut Camouflage' USAF 23 TFWP -74 TFS 'Flying Tigers' Desert Storm USAF 930 OG -45 TFS 'Hoosier Hogs' 1944 D-Day USAF 52 FW =81 FS Balkans War USAF 111 FW -103 FS 'Black Hogs' Philadelphia Freedom "During the Iranian Embassy Siege, the only way the terrorists were going to leave the building, was either to prison or in a box!" I have alot of these Armour models. There much easier to purchase than deal with making the models now that I have kids and no time I like them because the dust doesn't collect on them like the models I've done in the past. http://community.webshots.com/album/9498866yBWGzVnDCG I believe a grip about the A-10's is the door flaps were on backwards or something. All my models are 1/48th, I own the SP and EL Hogs, 2/F-16's, 2/F-15's, 2/F-18's a F-117, Tornado, Phantom and a Harrier TG out Negative Ghostrider, the pattern is full |

Tis true, the main undercarriage legs are on back to front.....shame it spoils an otherwise great model. I can't understand how that happened, some LASTE antennae on my SP bird would have been nice too. The Aussie airshow sounded great, here in England we have Flying Legends at Duxford which put up a mass flypast of all the participants at the end of each days show......an awesome sight. |
