Man I finished my last "project", working with Fine Scale Modeler on their A-10 battle damage article which will be out next month, and now have nothing to do in my spare time. I mean I have work to do of course but I have always (for the past 6 years anyway) have something in the works but not any more. I had two emails when I got home yesterday, one was to inlarge my penis (heck I would pass-out from blood loss to my head if it was any bigger) and the other was an offer to "cut me in" on a 100 million dollors deal if I gave them my bank account number. I was so bored I almost responded to the 100 million offer!

I tried to write some on my book but it just didn't seem to be worth it, I mean looking at what I've written already I asked myself if anyone besides myself (and you guys because you know me) will be interested in reading it, I thought of deleting the whole thing! I didn't BTW but damn I just don't know what to do with myself????

I wonder if the Viper folks could use a good PR man.....

Hehe just bored with everything I guess. You know how it is sometime...nothing makes you happy. I tried to fly a little SFP1 last night and just couldn't get into it, like I said I've always had some project going but have run dry of ideas....

I did get out into the sun today (what a pretty day it was) and showed a SRA from Pope around the depot and boy does my legs hurt. I'm just not used to pounding the "line" like when I was working there, a two hour walk and my legs are shot!

IS IT REALLY THAT YOU DONT HAVE A PROJECT DICE,OR THAT IN ABOUT 60 DAYS OR SO YOU'LL BE RETIRED?
YOUR TIRED BUDDY TAKE SOME TIME AND COAST!
LET YOUR MIND REST,IT'LL BE HARD BUT YOU'LL THANK YOURSELF LATER ON.

ITS HARD TO CHANGE GEARS. I WENT FROM EVERYDAY FIGHTING,LISTENING TO 450 PEOPLES PROBLEMS,READING LAWS,BRIEFS,ETC...... THEN ONE DAY
SMACK INTO A WALL!

I STAY AWAKE AT NIGHT WORRING ABOUT WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE,WHAT I DIDNT FINISH,WHAT I NEVER STARTED ETC......

I EVEN WENT AND TALKED TO A DR ABOUT IT. THAT DIDNT HELP.

SO I JUST FINALLY HAD IT AND "EX-LAXED!"

ONCE YOU DO THAT,YOU'LL FEEL BETTER AND I BET YOUR BRAIN WILL TURN OUT NEW IDEAS EVERYDAY AND YOU'LL FEEL ALOT BETTER.

BUT THEN AGAIN DONT EX-LAX TOO LONG OR YOU'LL END UP LIKE A FAT OL' GOOSE!

I JUST RAMBLING. GO TO BED GOOSE,OK GOODNITE GOOSE,

Goose, you know you hit the nail on the head don't you! It is hard to change and what makes it harder is the fact I love my job so much..now it's over. I think it hit me last week when we started planing my retirement. You know what I think has affected me the most and why I don't have any ideas right now? It's the fact I will no longer be "the man" at depot and just another retiree, My head has gotten to big I guess.

I looked at my book and it was like what's the use... I look at my website and again it's like what's the use. I guess I'm going through what millions of people have gone through bfore me. I just need to keep my finger off the delete button and like you said just go with the flow.

I do miss the wind tunnel, DVD, coin, naming a painting, and flight sim days where I had emails and something to look forward to every day.....

Thanks Goose! I hope we get someone who will contune to support the field and not someone who's looking for an easy job to ride-out until retirement.

I'm feeeling better today I sat down and worked on my book yesterday and figured out just because I'm retireing doesn't mean the info I've collected is any less valuable! I know the next couple of months will be a roller coster ride and I just have to keep pressing-on!

Thanks for the kinds words buddy and could you shoot me your phone # again at Hogpen13@aol.com

Dice just be glad the penis email didnt come from the doctor in England, who was doing enlarge surgeries--that lead to drastic decreases in size.

Beside you've earned your rest.

Hey Dice, I got plenty for you to do if you want to come to Shaw for a while. LSAT and UCI this summer, so self inspection is in full swing. TAMS flight full of Viper crewdogs to run and oh yeah did I forget foot surgery in April. Yeah I could use some help, should I book you a room in billeting for say 4 months. LOL, enjoy your down time as it will be gone all to soon.

Personally, dice, I'd rather be sitting on a lake bank with a cold beer, but to each his own!

Man it really sucks when you take a nature break and you buddy reels in the biggest catch of the day on your rod&reel. The family and I just got back from a long weekend at Santee State Park on lake Marion in SC. Didn't do much fishing but sure did kill a few Miller Lites while setting outside my camper watching the boats go up and down the lake. It was heaven.
