Dice, are any of our known WTers part of the 354th? And I wonder what's onthe other side of his windscreen flag!

I don't know of any "active" WT members who are deployed there. You know I wonder what's the meaning behind putting that flag there..might be a good question to ask here....

Most of the flags have a motivational picture on the backside that the Taliban would not approve of...

They got to launch a Mav??? We were SO waiting for that day when we were there... ohh well. Some of you may remember that we had a similar experience with the 81EFS when 1LT Erik Axt got a few hundred rounds on his first combat sortie withe the 81EFS CC, but I dont think it was quite THAT exciting.

P.S. Weasel_80-204, weren't you supposed to be down there?

Warthog30, is that a sign the aircraft is acting in the FAC(A) role?

Yes Raven, been here for quite some time now. In fact Lt. Stock was in MY jet that day. And "Horndog" got selected for a promotion! (ESTA's gonna be fun!!!)

I've seen the backs of the flags here, no "motivation" on them.

And Raven, thats not our first 65 since we've been here!

Raven/Coach- I concede the point. Probably is a good idea to rotate the stock every now and then!

Weasel: Good to hear you guys are still kicking ass and taking names down there. Unfortunately, I most likely won't be rotating through there again, but let me know next to you guys go TDY to Nellis.

Are you going to Thunder Raven? I've got a friend out there (ok, he's a pointy head but hey...everyone can't be a good old crew chief) in Thunder, they have a nice coin . Anyways, I think I'm going on leave and heading out there in April or May. I'm sure I'll make my way out to Thunder to drool over an A-10 or two...lol...

prkii: Thunder it is, or at leats they tell me I'm going there. No telling there, everyone else that got orders to Nellis went to Predators, so I lucked out.

If I do make the trip out that way in April or May I'll let you know, maybe hook up when I visit the unit. Last time they were on the other side cause they were performing live fire missions...Thunder is the only place I get to see or touch an A-10 now....

Mattlott: With HEI, there may be enough to identify the body, but I would doubt it.

Mattlot:
Ever see the vid of the AH-64 firing the gun? You coulda made a BBQ beef sandwich with those guys, with a side of pickup truck.

And from the vids I've seen, I would be expecting a bag, not a box if I got hit with it.

Prk, nice pic at the bottom of your post. That picture is of 78-632 from here at Barnes. That missile shoot is from our recent Combat Hammer deployment down at Eglin. He had to can that rudder right before the trip thats why there isnt a tail flash on it. And the jet just recently came back from the WS23 inspection so there wasnt even any unit markings on it either.

By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson
