Internet surfers can now pay a virtual visit to the forest thanks to the DJV, the German Hunting Association: Its web site http://www.wildtiere-live.de began broadcasting live footage of the forest in time for the rutting season in September 2003, and features images from an outdoor camera with zoom shots, panning shots and a directional microphone mounted in a game park of the Eifel region showing deer and wild boar in their element. Special servers process the live video to a live footage, multiply it and send it into the internet.
