Hi there Just wondered do the Hog Squadrons still practise low-level flying and low-level mission work? Cos I am in the UK we dont get Hogs around any more but when the 81TFW was up they flew alot of low-level flights, but since they have gone (early 1990's) the Hogs mission has changed to a more medium level mission. Also anyone from the Spang Panthers about to answer too, as would love to know if they are practising Low-level in Germany? Just wondered Thanks Kevin |

Thanks TG, I am going to have to get across the pond to do some Hog-Spotting!! 
Its nice to know the Hogs are still getting down n dirty! Anyone from Spang care to comment if the Panthers are going low-level too? I seem to remember the German government not allowing any aircraft to fly lower than 2000ft, this rule was in place some years back and just wondering if its still in place? Thanks Kevin |

Miniumum height for cross-country-flights (military) is principally 2000ft AGL. But as far as I know the NATO-Jets have a general clearance to go below 2000ft. If you want to go below 1000ft you need a special permission... Perhaps there´s a pilot on the board who´s got experience in german skies....
