I WENT TO GRISSOM ARB TODAY TO GET MY ID AND PAPERWORK,PLUS ITS PRETTY CRAPPY HERE WEATHER WISE.
I HAD TO GO PAST THE "GRISSOM AFB MUSEUM" WITH A BUNCH OF PLANES ON DISPLAY GOT THEM LAST YEAR
LOOKED OVER AT THE AIRPARK AND SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!

DIDNT HAVE MY BLOODY CAMERA BUT THEY PAINTED

TEETH ON THE HOOSIER HOG A-10!!!! TEETH WITH "IN" TAIL CODE!

IT WAS SUCH A NICE DISPLAY TOO BUT WHY THE TEETH?

Not a problem Goose, I guess they wanted to make the aircraft more impressive to the public...and that means teeth.

The worst mis-marking I've found so far was the Air Force muesum (wright-pat) had the second YA-10 (71- 1370) painted as a 23rd aircraft with a different tail number and all! The aircraft is at Langley now being prepaired to be placed in the air park...with the right tail number!!

I HAVE NEVER FIGURED THAT OUT YET,

WE DID THE SAME THING AT YOKOTA AB WITH A T-39,THEY HAD US CHANGE THE PAINT AND DECALS PLUS CHANGE THE TAIL NUMBER FROM 675 TO 475 TO GO WITH THE WING 475TH ABW.

YOU COULD PROBABLY WRITE A BOOK ON "MISS NUMBERED JETS" ON DISPLAY

Goose I see tha jet almost every day. I used to work on it. Believe me everytime I see it with those teeth on it, it pisses me off.
I suppose one of these days I'll get around to pointing that error out top them!!
