Just saw in the News where McPeak is now supporting Kerry.
Wonder if he's sold TQM to them?

General McPeak, was head of the Air Force in the 90's.
He got us tied up in TQM which was a huge waste of time and money. Made screwy changes to the uniform like blues that looked like a cross between a Navy and Airline pilot uniform to name a few.
As I recall he was also not a supporter of the A-10.
cheers

TQM----- TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT OR "TIME TO QUIT THE MILITARY"

I WASNT AT MY NEW JOB 4 MONTHS AND GOT 5 DAYS OF THE SAME TRAINING.
NO "I" IN TEAM ETC...
TRYING TO RUN THE MILITARY LIKE A BUISSNESS,IT MADE MY DECISION TO LEAVE ALITTLE EASIER.
BUT YOU NOTICED THAT THE PRIVATE SECTOR GAVE UP QUICKLY ON IT.

MONEY TALKS,B.S. JUST PILES UP.

While there may be no "I" in team, there is an "M" and an "E". ;)

"Zero Defects", "TQM" ad nauseum The gov't is always 5 years behind what business has already tried and given up. But that doesn't stop the contractors from selling as the latest/greatest thing.

Tony McPeak.

He was my CINC when I was at HQ PACAF. Oh, the stories I could tell.

Sniper will vouch for me, I am neither a troll or a spammer.

I think the Warthog is a great plane. My first experience with them was at Nellis AFB. 78-82.

You're retired, and assuming it won't come back to haunt you in other ways, do tell!

And welcome to the forum!

Yep, in Gen. Chat

It's not a focus of the board, but we sure do talk politics.
