I am kinda sure about this, but would like to be absolutely sure...did the 19 TASS become the 25 FS on 1 Oct 93? Here are the official USAF histories of the two units...I am just confused as the 25 FS shows them only having A-10s 1982–1989 (and I KNOW they still fly 'em!)

Cheers! M2

Maxy old boy!
The confusion arises because according to my info, the 25th was slated for conversion to the F-16 and gave up all its A-10's by Nov 9 1989.The 25th borrowed some F-16's as part of the conversion plans, but was inactivated on July 31,1990.The 25th again activated, with OA-10's on Oct 1st 93 and still operate them to this day.
The 19th TASS picked up the 25th TFS Hogs beginning conversion from Bronco's on Aug 1 1989, this was about a month before the 25th began giving up its Hogs...........confused?!
The 19th TASS inactivated on Oct 1st 1993 to be replaced by the newly activated 25th FS.......so back to your original question, yes the 19 did 'technically' become the 25th on Oct 1st 93.......Phew, got there in the end.
