Anybody else catch that episode of Mail Call all about Afghanistan? I swear R. Lee Ermey has the coolest job on earth. Now, granted, the A-10 was only in it for like 2 minutes out of the whole hour, but it was still pretty good. I just didn't like how he didnt even mention the gun on the Hog, not a word, but couldn't stop going on about it on the Apache helicoptor. Anybody else have any comments?

I've e-mailed the show like 3 times asking for a segment on the A-10. As for the episode from Kuwait/Iraq about OIF, one of my friends who was over there at the time said 90% of what they taped of the 75th wound up on the cutting room floor. But that was still a decent section of the A-10 that still aired. I'll tell you why the A-10 was barely in this episode, althought the reason is sure to enrage anyone whose never been a part of the 23rd FG..... NO TEETH!!! Muuaahahahahahahahahaha. Am I right or am I right?

The Gunny is an awesome guy. I had the unique opportunity to ride home with him at least to Germany. Our "Doc" asked him about the A-10 show, and also asked why there hasn't been a show on the maintainers. Gunny said that right now the shows focus is unfortunately on the machinery and not too much on the people that maintain it.

It's a shame they didn't show some outtakes from the trip. LIke how they put us on the wrong plane at first, his comment to the terminal guy at K2 about how he wanted to watch, "Fox News, CNN or some X-rated shit!" and not "Chicago".

And did anyone notice the hardware he wears! He has the biggest fricking ring I have ever seen! He loves the Corps!
