It used to be a 510 TFS bird at Bentwaters, and Scramble says it is now with the 355 FS at Eielson, but when someone asked about it three years ago someone else replied it is now at assigned to the 110 FW, MI Air National Guard at Battle Creek MI. It may have also been at Grissom at one point, can't confirm that. Do a search on this forum...and check out this thread: http://forum.a-10.org/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1062

There is a pic of it at http://members.xoom.virgilio.it/approach/photo_A-10.htm, but the file is corrupt as only half of it apppears. Try mailing Alex at marchejr2@interfree.it and maybe he'll email it to you.

Cheers! M2

944 was a at Grissom with the 930th for a short time when we had the draw down. It was transferred to Eielson in 1994.
I was also transferred to Eielson that same year and I know it was assigned to the 355th FS. I left there in 1999 and it was still there.

944 was assigned to Bentwaters from Aug 1982-Aug 1992 when it moved to Grissom AFB from Aug 1992- March 1994. It Moved to Eielson in April 1994 where she's assigned today.

She's known today as the "Gremlin" because of a few maintenance problems which seemed to haunt the aircraft.

I sure as hell won't argue with you, but WTFO is Terry L. Hatlevig talking about when he said 81-0944 was now at Battle Creek and the CC was Ken Dark? His email was even from Battle Creek, but that was his one and only post on this forum. Is there some sort of inside joke here that I am not seeing?? <img src=newicons/tard.gif border=0 align=middle>
