Saw this and was wondering; It appears to be the same image from the official USAF announcement. I don't know who the photographer is who took the picture, but is this person selling something he owns? Or is this person selling something and claiming credit for taking? Please, I am NOT trying to start anything here. Just merely curious, that's all.

Hmmm good question....
But the more pressing question to me is, where the hell did he get a high res enough pic to turn into an 8x10?

That picture is one right off the AF website when they announced the A-10C rollout and first flight. It is an official AF photo. You can find it on http://www.af.mil

I had the same question about this e-book on eBay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... eName=WDVW

It is an AU Press release...downloadable in PDF format.

http://www.maxwell.af.mil/au/aul/aupres ... un_B90.htm

The auction has this caveat...

quote:
APPROVED BY U.S. GOVERNMENT FOR PUBLIC DOMAIN RELEASE - DISTRIBUTION UNLIMITED-ALL AUCTION CDs ARE CREATED AND PRODUCED FOR THIS AUCTION BY THIS SELLER ...... CD32117 ...... ARE CREATED FROM NON-COPYRIGHTED, PUBLIC DOMAIN, DECLASSIFIED MILITARY AND OR NON-CLASSIFIED U.S. GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS........

So who knows??

Anyhow, it's a great book and you can order it for free if you are a DoD employee...

Cheers! M2

This photo of the A-10C during its first flight was taken by the 40th FTS's photographer whom I met on the 21st of January at Eglin AFB. The photo is part of a serie taken during the flight. I got a CD from him with all images taken during that flight. They're all suitable for printing.
What this guy is doing is selling someone else work to his own profit. I came across his e-store once and I just hope I won't see any of my shots there!

So, why buy this photo from him when you can dowload the same from the AF link and have it printed.

Who wants a copy?

I do!

And I promise they will be for my own use, not publically displayed or sold in any form or matter.

Shit, I thought you were talking about the CD full of pics!

Now I realize you meant copy of the pic, not the CD.

Any way we can get a copy of the CD, for our own personal use?

Cheers! M2

I don't mind making you a copy, for your own personnel usage, but I will ask you to give me a few dollars for postage to Europe. $3 will cover it. Let me know if you want it.

Yo everybody after hearing about what people have been buying for thousands of dollars on ebay theses days. What do you think I could get for a plain old 'sucker', you know a run of the mill lolie pop. Taking suggestions on how to describe it for maximum sales value. Proceeds going to charity me

I am serious it should be a fun experiment.
