Welcome Col. Lemon, I was reading your Bio and some of your background related to the early days. Im not a Former or current OA-10 Pilot, But a Former 27th TASS OV10 guy from the early 80's and a Needle burner through the 90's( 15's 16's and Test). Would love to talk the old Map explosion days with ya. "RickUSN: That was intelligent and useful Mudd. But it certainly is what Ive come to expect. Mindless babbling with no intent to either enlighten or inform |

Col. what TFTS were you in at D-M? Your name sounds awfully familiar. "face it....perhaps your only purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others!" |

M&M...during the D-M tour I flew in the 333dTFTS "Lancers"....instructor pilot and flight commander...late er I was ops officeer at the 355TTS( the academic squadron) where i taught weapons systems....that was early enough in the hog's life that there were still a bunch of pilots around with "hog numbers"(the sequence in which you checked out in the A-10) in high single and low double digit numbers!....we were still doing stupid things in those early days training like flying single engine(simulated) emergency patterns from the overhead!....oh well....great tour because got to know most of the early A-10 pilots who I ran into thoughout the remaining 10 years I was in the hog! Anyway....keep the hog alive!...cheers! Col R. C. Lemon |
