I'm in the process of re-reading Smallwood's book and I started to wonder, with all the changes and history that's been added to the 'Hog Saga' if there's anything more recent that's out (publically). I've seen a couple of 'Osprey' books on F-15s in Kosovo/Afghanistan/Iraq but haven't seen anything on the A-10.

Am I not looking in the right place or is all this still a good story that's waiting to be told.

There are a couple out you need to read, one is free of the internet (don't have the URL at the moment) about the Hawg during the Kosovo conflect. The other one is titled "The Warthog and the close air support debate", I don't have the authors name handy because I let someone borrow my copy. let me look around and I'll get you the author and the URL for the free book.

I knew I was asking the right crowd! lol thanks. It looks like I'll have to add Campbell's book to the 'A-10 Shelf'. I'm a bit embarrassed too I'd forgotten about AU, always a good source, I do want to read 'Goldie's' work thanks. There's also a big mention of him in Ross Simpson's 'Stealth Down' a very exciting read and one that gives good credit to the Hog in determining the 'outcome' of the rescue.

Thanks again

I never heard of a few of those, including the stuff by "Goldie" Haun. He's assigned to my jet, pretty cool guy. I'll definitely be giving those a read now.

ok ok just so you know my piddly little printer has been chugging away churning out 'Goldie' Haun's "Airpower Versus a Fielded Force". Excellent reading and all 90 some odd pages now occupies an important spot in the 'file'. Thanks to all of you for pointing me in the right direction.

IMHO MR Campbell's book is a "must read" to understand the politices behind the A-10, past and present .
