We do have a prior Marine, and he's the only one wearing Navy/Marine wings of gold and flying the hog with us. I can ask some of the older hands about anyone who may have been here prior to 1999. Thing is, the Navy doesn't fly Learjets out of the Grove anymore. I've been asking around, trying to find your friend's buddy, but for lack of a better explanation the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Guard might as well be on different planets even though we're at the same base. I'm thinking maybe your friend's bud is flying the VC-9s, or whatever the Navy calls them. I've put in some calls with full-time buddies of mine there, I'll let you know what I come up with.
