Hi all,

I live in the north east part of Luxemborg, about 20 miles south of Bastogne, and regularly see flights of A10's circling over and around my village.
Do these planes come from Spangdahlem? Would like to know, as these planes are awesome, and give me great pleasure when I see them flying around so close.
Do they have base visits?

I cant figure them coming from anywhere else. Anyone from Spang ? Raeve Guy can probably answer that.

Hey Bill those could be the ones from the 103FW that they are transfering to the Polish National Air Forces home base in Warsaw.

Hmmm, Polish border is the other side of Germany. I think the most possible option is really the Spangdahlem Warthogs. Maybe you can try at an German Flugzeugforum with your question. http://www.flugzeugforum.de/forum/index.php?

If there from Spang, would like to hear from anyone based there.

Had a flight of 4 planes over my house only yesterday (5/28/05) putting on a show.

Dutchy, I'm thinking what you encountered here was what we yanks call "tongue in cheek" humor. At one time, the 104th (where the 103rd is scheduled to transfer their aircraft) was known as the "Polish Air Force" due to the number of sunames that ended with "ski".

Now there Ol' Chief I didnt think many people knew about that. I thought it was a Barnes thing. The Polish Air Force. I've been there almost 15 years and that was well before my time. Most of the old "Poles" are on there way out to retirement. A couple left but not many.
