I would love for it to be at Ft Drum NY, but it doesn't sound like it's going to be there. TG out |

I thought each Hawgsmoke was supposed to be hosted by the previous ones winner, no? "The government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no responsibility at the other." - Ronald Reagan |

The 104th would kick ass and clean house in Hawgsmoke except for the fact that we wont have Hawgs anymore. By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson |

Rumor...........and that is rumor only...............has it that Arkansas will be receiving jets in October of 2006. That would mean that we could be back at the bottom of the barrel just in time to wear those silly new blue BDU's. We could be dumb and ugly at the same time. YEAH ! By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson |

Bill, would they still upgrade to the A-10Cs if they are moving the planes out? I read a post where the 104th was suppose to receive 6 C model Hawgs this Fiscal year? I thought the active USAF units would get them first, which they already might. I wouldn't know the difference by looking at them |

This would avoid yet another conversion. OC |

Uhhhh...guys, mine questions were
quote:
When is Hawgsmoke next year? And last but not least: Is it possible for an civilian as me to visit it?

. Okay I am also intrest in the C model of the Warthog (see another topic about it). No hard feelings to you all, but I was looking for the answers. I hope it comes back to Alexandria because I really wanted to go and I didn't get to because of the weather. Maybe God will finally shine back on The Bayou State. |

The Hawgsmoke competition is an unofficial event, in the Air Force vernacular, therefore it would be very difficult to get 50+ A-10's to Europe on a weekend cross country. Coach |

The ACC Hog Demo team don't even bring their own jets over for any European air displays, they use the SP jets....so a whole herd coming over for a weekend jolly is highly unlikely (great as it would be) |

If I have it correct (correct me if I have not), than flew the pilots of Spangdahlem at Hawgsmoke 2004 also in other planes than from their own squadron. I thought they had planes of Pope. Salute Dutchy Termites do it in the dark! (47FS Barksdale afb) |
