What does the A-10 crystal ball hold for Barksdale in light of the BRAC, wings, engines, PE, etc. Got a letter of inquiry of availablity for a slot there. Just wondering if the A-10s will be there a while. Dice? Cheers db Being responsible means sometimes pissing people off. Gen Colin Powell ret |

DB, if all goes as planned (which it never does) Barksdale is scheduled to grow in size..... Recommendation: Realign NAS New Orleans ARS, LA. Distribute the 926th Fighter Wing’s A-10 aircraft to the 442d Fighter Wing (AFR), Whiteman Air Force Base, MO (nine aircraft), and the 917th Wing (AFR) at Barksdale Air Force Base, LA (six aircraft). It's not scheduled to close under the current reconnendations. Thanks, The thought of getting back on my beloved Hawgs gives me goose bumps. But I don't think I can get my wife to make the move. I've been conniving every conceivable option to make it happen short of getting a divorce and abandoning my kids. Even floated the idea of going back and finishing my pilot training and flying home on the weekends. So far I'm still grounded on that one.
