Check out the 30MM my brother made at his machine shop. Around the skull is says "go ugly early". I told him that there may be a market out there for custom bullets, what do you guys think? http://www.kodakgallery.com/Slideshow.jsp?Uc=h3gjbor.ewl73qj&Uy=63krpz&Upost_signin=Slideshow.jsp%3Fmode%3Dfromshare&Ux=0&mode=fromshare&conn_speed=1 ...couldn't figure out how to simply post a jpg from my computer |

This is something that at least in my opinion could be marketable, especially if there was a way to make them unit specific. I can see something like this being done and given to a member of a squadron who is retiring or moving on to a new assignment or different aircraft. Maybe with there callsign engraved on it and unit and maybe dates served with the sqdn .. Or in the case of the high time Hogdrivers having it done with there hours at the end of there career .. Again definately something that I think should be given more though .. RJ PS: Don't want to hijack the thread here, but is there anyway to get hold of a tip for the 30MM round ? I have a shell given to me on my last day of working with the CT ANG, and would love to have it complete .. Edited by - steamjet58 on Oct 16 2005 05:03 AM |

Very nice! I would think there is a market for these <b>if</b> the price is right. I would put one up on EBay and see what the interest is. Ugly But Well Hung |

I think your brother might find a pretty good starter market right here... "Pilots Without Maintainers are Just Pedestrians With Leather Jackets and Cool Sunglasses." |

I wonder now how my you'd have to make to make it reasonable on a screw machine. I work in a machine shop now, BTW, if you can send me a plan for the bullet, I might be able to get an estimate on how much to make them an masse. Ignorance may be bliss, but it sure ain't fun! |

Gifted do you not have a dummy round? If you do just take the projectile out and use it as a template. If not oh well. Fender "A woman drove me to drink and I hadn't even the courtesy to thank her". W.C. Fields |
