Carl,

He died a while back. THE "BOSS" was a good Wing commander,I still remember hearing him when I hooked-up to the jet during the "Box"
"Hey Goose, how are you doing"? orI would hook up and say "How are you doing "BOSSMAN" Sir?'but than I called all the pilots "BOSS" on the comm cord
He always gave me crap on my "Gutt" but one of the last times I talked to him after loosing all that weight was "You look good how much did you loose?"" and I know your proud of it but you need to cut-off that BELT and get it into REG'S" (I lost 8 INCHES)around my waist
I think he knew everyones name or Call sign/nickname.
I caught a "sabotour" (?) during that last "Tiger f&^!" kind of roughed him up alittlebefore the inspectors came up and got me off of him. Hey that was the point right?
Anyway on the 3 day pass for catching him it was all offically done ,signed etc...
But on the bottom he wrote ,

"Goose, next time I dont think kicking his legs out from under him is
nessesary but Good Job!

signed his name.

30MM jr is headed to Volk Field this week for an Exercise. He's one of the lucky ones authorized to carry a "weapon" and provide flightline/ aircraft securty. I think he's read your book, Goose..." I hope the inspectors/bad guys know I'm playing for keeps, too. No quarter asked or given". When they had their "maneuvers week" in basic, he was the only one to catch, kill, or detain one of the infiltrating TI's.

Carl,

You'd have to get one of the pilots to get on the "Boars pen",thats a A-10 pilot site.
Its only for them, they have a list of pilots and there's more then a few we had in our Wing during our time who have since Died.

But we have a few too that have died also, "Gus and Chief Shep" have both died too.
