This question is from the wife of an A-10 fan. My husband got the chance as a kid (grew up in AZ) to fly the DMAFB flight simulator for the A-10. The only thing he wanted to do as a kid was be an A-10 pilot. When he went through the physical for the Air Force he was told he couldn't fly due to a hearing loss (30 percent) in one ear. He was unaware of the hearing loss. So, being set on the A-10 pilot dream he didn't join the air force. ( all or nothing sort of thing). My question. Is there a way, a club of flight school, that would allow him to fly an actual A-10? Also is there an A-10 club in Arkansas? |

DMdragon1, without going into detail I'm sorry to say all the A-10s flying today are single seat aircraft so, the only way to fly one is to be an Air Force pilot. There are a couple of A-10 PC based flight sims on the market that allow you to "fly" an A-10. Ugly But Well Hung |
