no one is going to publish here. infact I think after 911 exact aircraft in the boneyard is classified. They pulled down the official web site listings a few years back. |

Hi All Yes you can still find out what's at DM in the boneyard... Visit www.amarcexperience.com it's not a gov. wedsite. and what's so secret about the number of birds in the desert ??? after next year it's only going to get bigger... Also if it;s so secret they would stop the tours but as far as i know they still do that!!! Matt's right they did take it off the net after 911, don't know why but, if they pulled it I would not be the one to post that info here. The "spooks" know a lot more about security than we do so I would not second-guess them. Ugly But Well Hung |

Download GoogleEarth (http://earth.google.com/) and look at the boneyard. You may not be able to read the tails, but you sure as hell will know the Hawgs! Sad, really... Cheers! M2 |

cool software, the images for AMARC / DM look to be a couple of years old. If you could get an internet connection in the cockpit, ops might finally get a moving map via google! |

We spent a while about a month or two ago googleing everywhere everyone in the flight has lived or been station. It really is amazing. The pictures of the line at Pope I couel narrow down to a timeframe of within 4 months after I PCS'd from there, becuase of the construction of the wash rack and trim pad and the lack of 75th jets on the flightline. You could even make out the stains on the ground that are below the engines and the individual trailers in the trailer park I lived in. They say that the only two things certain in life are death and taxes. I prefer them in that order. |

LOL....I could narrow down the time period of the sat view of my house to a 2 week period in in 2003. Google earth is very addictive. <img src="http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/457/bgnrjsiiw81q1gc.jpg" border=0> Gravity....its not just a good idea, its the law. |

Yeah, there has been a lot of "discussion" on the resolution available on GoogleEarth. Oddly enough, the Texas Hill Country coverage is pretty weak. Take a look at Boerne, TX and compare it with Bagram, Afghanistan (where you can see the line-up of 7 Hawgs on the ramp and a Barney taxiing!). I guess we know who has better OPSEC! Cheers! M2 |

I've been using Google Earth for months now. Even found my truck parked right in front of the house. Checked out DM and the Boneyard. I also found the rest of the bases I was stationed at, and a few others. Kunsan, Osan, Suwon, Buckley, Aviano, and it took awhile, but I even found Gila Bend. What a hoot! BTW, both Suwon and Aviano are pretty high res. "Slow is Fast - Fast is Slow" |
