Looks like a baggage pod to me. No fins, and it has removable panels. "Slow is Fast - Fast is Slow" |

Just looks like a fuel tank with the rear cone left off, has lines similar to the F-16 tank but still looks awfully close to the standard Hornet tank. The "luggage rack" pod is much smaller. A 45 has a muzzle. A 9mm has a bullet vent. |

All of the Hornet Outer Tanks Have a Square End. The panels are for access to the tank. These tanks have a Bag, and Valves . These panels are for Access, and Purging. As the aircraft draws fuel, these bags shrink up, like the cheap wine in a box. This helps prevent the Fuel from sloshing back and forth changing the weight and balance of the aircraft. Now the aircraft Tanks are always cycling keeping fuel in motion throughout the whole aircraft internally, but not in the tanks, as they are being siphoned. When the tanks develop leaks. They purge and replace the defective internal parts. It was a woman who drove me to drink, and I never had the courtesy to thank her for it. The cost of living has gone up another dollar a quart.Somebody left the cork out of my lunch. |
