They had a small description on the actual flying Hind helicopter they have at Nellis AFB. They also went on to say that it has successfully engaged F-15 and F-16's during the time it has been there. I saw an excerpt of the Hind killing an Eagle; I felt violated. Goes to show that anything can happen in war. |

We have a bunch of Hinds in Georgia too(pretty sure it's Georgia), where they train the stinger teams. "Trample the wounded, hurdle the dead." |

I think they bought em off one of the East block states when the wall came down. Not positive where they got em, but they got em. "Trample the wounded, hurdle the dead." |

Really, mid 80's? That was the height of the cold war. Did you get to see them? Viewing that at that time in history would've been a sobering site I used to actually love the Hind; it used to be one of my favorite air designs, but that was years and years ago. We had em in NTC in the mid 80's. I was talking about the ones in Georgia. Those we got in the early 90's i think. "Trample the wounded, hurdle the dead." |

I think we got a few Hinds from Iraq after the first Gulf War. Of course we didn't pay for them. |

They were at tree top level and headed over to the fort "We sleep safely in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would harm us".
