In Canada, we bought a hundred of F/A-18A/B. We modify them so they are now named CF-18A/B (CF for Canadian Fighter). We have a better cockpit, false canopy, powerfull light to identufy friend or foes at night, special rockets pod (cadadian made) and much more to come in the near futur. So compared the american version, I think our CF-18 is better. In adition, since we only have one fighter, the CF-18 is a real Multi-role fighter. I will say this warthog, regardless of how your CF-18 stands up to contemporary F-18's within the US inventory, it is a step up from the vintage century series F-101 that the RCAF used untill the mid 80's. Yes, Mexico does have an Air Force. They fly the mighty AT-34 Mentor. I flew that aircraft in Corpus Texas and let me tell you one thing, you aren't gonna beat the turn radius on that thing at 180Kts. |
