V-22 Forced to Make Emergency Landings
June 30, 2004 -- A V-22 Osprey aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing aboard a Marine Corps amphibious ship during tests this week -- the second time in 10 days that serious problems required this particular aircraft to land immediately, according to the Navy.

Osprey makes emergency landing
A V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor transport had to make an emergency landing Monday after an internal engine component broke apart.

Well at least it didnt crash and kill anyone.

The Osprey has been given too many chances. It's a great concept, but too complex to work in the real world. Whatever aircraft wins the presidential helicopter competition should also replace the Sea Knights.

I heard a rumor that the Air Force has been looking into purchasing the V-22 to help replace 53's and CAS assets.
