I may be all wrong, but when you pause the scene just as the wing hits the "reporter", it sure looks like the guy in the black T-shirt is there. And the guys "cut" is on his right temple...the wing looks to have smacked him on the left. <shrug> for what it's worth to anyone. (I know, I know, not a hell of alot!)<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I think he was smacked by the Support Brace for the Wing.

he actually was shwacked by the underside of the wing (thus the dull empty clunk [or was that the reporters head lol])as the pilot was trying to flare away. The injury to the right temple was from the impact with the ground, his head hits the ground about the same time as his toes!
The oddest part to me is what the heck is the pilot doing, he seems to be throwing white something or others out of the pit just before the impact. Perhaps loose stuff just falling out of the open door as he rolls I dunno.
