This door states it was the first PA A-10 to land at the FOL during OIF. A couple of questions, first I know there were a couple of FOL’s named base ? And base ? (X and Y I think) One in the east and one in the west of Iraq, which is which.
Second, does anyone know which base this door may be referring to? Maybe the date and time on the door will help.

I'm pretty sure none of the Kuwait guys went out west. This probably refers to Tallil.

Thanks again Coach. BTW what was the western base?

It was Tallil but i don't remember what tail number? Once we were set up two pope jets stopped for gas first and then it was a mixture of BC, Idaho, Willow Grove and Pope. When the hot pits opened it was a mad house of jets rolling through including some jets from the \"West\" side.

Thanks Hogfixer, I have the tail number but, didn't post it because of the \"lurkers\" on the forums, sometime I think I give out to much info on my collections, I work hard to get that info and \"they\" should have to also.

Coach, no problem you answered my question with that responce anyway. I have some info and pics from \"that\" base but had forgotten about them, we'll just leave it as \"the Western base\", thanks.
