While I was in Bagram this last deployment, two other Crew Chiefs and I designed a CC patch. I mean, Pilots have cool ones, why can't we, right? So we drew one out on paper, got it to look the way we liked, and brough it to the hadji shop next to the PX. We had them make three (one original prototype for each of us), and if they can out good we would order more. Well, they started jerking us around on the price and other things for ordering more, so they lost a pretty big sale. I had e-mail Dice while over there about the company he had the A-10C PE patches he had done and how the company was to deal with. He gave them a positive review, so while we were still over there we started dealing with them. It took a few tries for them to get it put in the computer right, and they got here in the beginning of July. We were so happy. I opened the box and whats this? A typo? Two typos? So we mail them back and they redid it. They came in the mail yesterday. These patches look like a million bucks. That is the story on how and why we did it. Here is the patch:

Description:
The lettering was inspired by (or ripped off of, potatoe, potahtoe) the Orange County Choppers logo. OCC->HOGCC. Then we added the lines to turn the lettering into an A-10. The skull in the background just looks badass. The GAU-8 is centered on the skull, with the 7:00 barrel filled in red because that is where the wrath of god comes from. What's that line on the side of the gun you ask? Why, combine it with 2 barrels and that's the Fairchild logo. As you an see, there is a Hog driving the jet, and the jet also has the 23FG teeth. We would have loved to put on the top all of, ar at least more opeations the A-10 has been involved with, But OSW, OEF and OIF are probably the three most well known and easily recognized abbreviations (Alot of folks would not recognize OAF and we could fit all the words or all the operations so we picked the big three). The countries on the bottom are the three paces the A-10 is permanently stationed.
We put the HOGCC logo in alot of places on Bagram. It was like a Crew Chief zap. It was on tables, walls, I even painted it in the back of the expeditor truck.

So now that you've suffered through all of my rambling, we are selling these patches. First come, first serve, no limit, $5 each plus shipping and the cigarette lighter is not included (it was just there for scale). If we run out between what we sell here and at work we can order more.
